Alex started cheerleading whilst at University, becoming team captain, creating the club’s first ever level 4 team, winning various national titles and gaining her first coaching qualification. Alex joined Chiltern Cheetahs in 2016 as both a coach and athlete and has since coached teams from levels 1-2 (including the club’s first ever ‘travel’ team), completed her coaching qualifications for levels 1 to 5 and competed for the club in levels 2-5.
Alex’s passion for cheer started when she joined Brunel University’s team ‘Blizzards’ in 2013. She went on to compete for the club in levels 1-4 during her years attending Brunel as an undergraduate, became the club captain in her final year and set about gaining her levels 1 and 2 coaching qualifications, as she knew that coaching and cheering was something she wanted to continue after graduation.
In 2016, Alex nervously enquired to join Cheetahs senior 2 team, ‘Velocity’, to join them for the end of their season at Bournemouth. She was welcomed with open arms and has felt part of the family ever since! Jess offered Alex a coaching position and Alex has been passionately with us ever since. This year Alex is coaching Accelerate (junior 2), Velocity (senior 2), tumble class and is competing with Adrenaline (senior 5).
